Hi, I’m Sonya, the founder of Bread and Blossom, an event planning and sourdough business I started in 2020.
I have over 15 years of industry experience. My journey into weddings and events began with a passion for all things hospitality at a young age. Over the years, I’ve worn nearly every hat in the industry—Four Seasons Assistant General Manager of Food and Beverage, Catering Sales Manager in charge of all weddings at the Inverness Hotel, Fine Dining Server at the Four Seasons, Bartender, Banquets Manager at the Four Seasons, Intern at Winston Flowers, Intern at Corinthian Events, Bar Manager, Private Chef, Head Chef of Prepared Foods, Events Coordinator and Line Cook at Hanks, and countless catering gigs, etc. You name it, I’ve done it! I also have a business and hospitality degree with a specialty in Food & Beverage and Events Management from the University of Denver. There I was awarded the 2017 Entrepreneurship Award for a business plan I wrote on opening a farm to table restaurant! This wide-ranging experience has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to create unforgettable events.
What sets me aside from other planners is that I am passionate about all sides of hospitality. When I’m not in planning mode you can find me in the kitchen cooking up a storm for my next themed dinner party! Bread and Blossom is not just an event company I also operate a sourdough, sauces, and seeds business on the side! Find me at a Maine farmers market in the summers!
